Deputy President William Ruto’s wife Rachel Ruto excited Kenyans online after adapting a new dress code.

Rachel, a mother of 6 and a staunch Christian is known for wearing decent skirts or dresses.

Fitting maroon trouser suit

However, during an event organised by Joyful Women Organisation (Joywo) group which is her brainchild, Rachel stepped out in a maroon fitting trouser suit, a white blouse and a pair of brown shoes.

Kenyans being hawk-eyed noticed that the prayerful woman had tilted her dressing tradition and it was all fine.

They complimented her and urged her to maintain the new feel as she was drip as the second lady and probable future first lady of Kenya.

Maintain new dress code, Kenyans

Emmah Asante said: “You look gorgeous!!!! Keep up with this trend.”

Sellah Sigowo echoed Asante’s compliments and showered Rachel with blessings.

“You looking beautiful Mama, God bless you,” Sigowo said.

Koech Peninah said Rachel looked so good in the pair of fitting trouser suit and urged her to move from her conventional dressing style and maintain the current look.

“This is how u should dress….the rest is a noooo,” Koech said.

Rehema Malemba could not hide her admiration for the suit.

“I want this suit Ma’am,” she quipped.

Rachel has been credited with the transformation of Joywo from a village table banking group to an national financial institution empowering women.

“Joywo continues to partner with key stakeholders to advance the women’s agenda and empower them economically,” she said during the event.

At some point during the event, Rachel removed her shoes while showcasing the women’s group merchandise.
