As her time as Head of East Africa comes to an end this week, Akidi shared her decision to part ways with the BBC after an impressive 21-year journey with the organization. Reflecting on her career, she reminisced about her initial days as a fresh graduate from Uganda, boarding a flight to London to join the BBC’s Focus on Africa and Network Africa programs.
