In 2014 just before Messi committed his future to Barcelona, it was indicated that the player expressed interest in moving to the Emirates. Spanish newspaper Vozpopuli, that broke the news of Alexis Sanchez signing for Arsenal, also claimed that Messi was seriously considering a switch to the Emirates prior to sorting out his arrangement to remain at Camp Nou.

It is on this context that most commentators believe the deal is impossible, however, from our perspective, if Arsenal manage to Offload Mesut Ozil, Kolasinac and Lacazette, they would eb able to free up some funds enough to pay Messi.

The other Challenge would be the fees to sign up Messi without breaching FIFA regulations, the only way arsenal can afford to fund Messi Transfer is through a payment plan that will allow them to pay a certain amount each year as they did for Nicolas Pepe. Arsenal and Barcelona have been known to have good relations previously which may play a bigger role in facilitating the move, Barcelona will also be certainly interested in Aubameyang if Messi is bound to leave, on the other hand, Aubameyang has been keen to be reunited with Ousmane Dembele who they played together at Dortmund.
